Job Overview:
We are looking for a diligent and proactive Account Assistant to support our accounting team. The ideal candidate will assist with various accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and administrative duties. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Data Entry: Accurately input and update financial data into accounting software and databases.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Expense Management: Monitor and record company expenses, verifying and processing expense claims.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing GST, TDS, and other tax returns, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Document Management: Organize and maintain financial documents, both physical and digital, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, photocopying, and handling correspondence.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial data to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Audit Support: Help prepare for internal and external audits by organizing and providing necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
- Integrity: High level of integrity and ethical standards in handling financial data and transactions.
